(NEWS 15) — A multi-vehicle crash on Johnston Street during rush hour resulted in a snapped electrical pole, downing several power lines and leaving thousands without electricity, according to initial police reports. However, new findings from News 15 Investigates have revealed that the pole broke apart before any crash occurred. “I saw no cars strike the pole. I watched as slowly just fell over,” Matt Fanguy, who witnessed the event, said. He explained that the pole snapped without warning, sending live power lines onto the street.
