CHURCH POINT, La. (KLFY) — A Church Point man has been arrested in connection with an alleged cockfighting and dogfighting ring in the town, authorities said.
Nicholas Daigle, 44, of Church Point, is charged with cockfighting, cruelty to animals, possession of marijuana and interference with a law enforcement investigation.

Church Point Police Department conducted an investigation Friday evening into allegations of chicken and dog fighting at the end of St. Jude Street, where officers said they found an active cockfight in progress.
