ST. LANDRY PARISH, la. (KLFY) –St. Landry Parish takes a firm stance against littering after an arrest made under the new penalties. Richard LeBoeuf, director of Solid Waste Richard hopes this will deter others from similar actions.
In Jan. 2024, St. Landry Parish Solid Waste partnered with the sheriff’s office and parish government to increase penalties for littering as the issue worsened each year.
With the first arrest being made since deciding to push to end littering in St. Landry Parish, LeBoeuf hopes to send a message that this issue is being taken very seriously…
