YOUNGSVILLE, La. (KLFY) — A family of four is stuck without their home after it flooded with three to four inches of water in April.
“It’s very stressful. We’re having to live with family members because, of course, flood insurance doesn’t cover any housing expenses. So, we have to stay with family and have to drive back and forth. It’s beginning to be a lot. School starts in August, and I’m just really wanting us to be able to be in the home and be comfortable where the kids can start off the school year in their own home,” said Irene Sinegal.
She said they were sleeping around 5:40 a.m., and because their dog was barking her husband got up. When he got up to go see what the dog was barking for, he stepped out of the bed and the water was already in the hall…
