Lafayette welcomes new EMTs as National EMS Academy celebrates graduates

The National EMS Academy, a division of Acadian Ambulance, announced the graduation of nine new Emergency Medical Technicians from its Lafayette program.

The EMT course is a 12-week-long program that includes comprehensive instruction in Basic Life Support, covering key areas such as trauma and airway management, cardiovascular and pediatric emergencies and patient assessment.

Here are the following graduates for Acadian’s EMT Lafayette program:

  • Madison Burgess
  • Alice Charles
  • Summer Evans-Hardy
  • Taylor Henry
  • Laila Ivory
  • GioVanni Jessie
  • Andrew Miller
  • Kelly Romero

“These graduates have shown extraordinary determination, resilience, and compassion,” Timothy Dronet, director of Staffing, said. “Their commitment to learning and serving their communities is truly inspiring. We are proud to welcome them to the EMS profession.”
