Sanity hearing requested for Lafayette Parish woman accused of setting fire that killed her sister

The attorney for a Lafayette Parish woman accused of setting a house fire that killed her sister and injured her mother and brother has asked a judge to appoint a sanity commission.

Lafayette attorney Bobby “Deuce” Domengeaux filed a motion Monday asking 15th Judicial District Court Judge Michelle Billeaud to appoint a sanity commission to determine whether Kalayshia Lagrange, 24, is capable of assisting with her defense.
