Where’s Al? On Po-Boy Trail at Olde Tyme Grocery in Lafayette

LAFAYETTE, La. (NEWS 15) — A new culinary adventure is here, designed to guide po-boy enthusiasts through a delicious journey across Lafayette Parish. Lafayette Travel and EatLafayette have officially launched the Po-Boy Trail, highlighting this iconic sandwich that has become a staple in Acadiana.

The Po-Boy Trail features more than 70 restaurants, each offering their unique take on the beloved po-boy. Jesse Guidry with EatLafayette explained the purpose behind this initiative.

“The Po-boy Trail is basically any and everything having to do with Po-boys in or around Lafayette Parish. So, this has been something that’s been on our website for a while. And everybody loves a printed brochure. So, we kind of turned that in there, hired a food writer to kind of go around and check out some of his favorite places. Write about the different po-boy places that are generational owned, et cetera, et cetera. And, we just kind of came up with a list of over 70 po-boy places in the area. And, it’s such an iconic sandwich of this state. Everybody has their favorite, whether it be a seafood or meat filled, but this trail, we really dove in and tried to find those places that are serving just like different things and, and maybe try to entice people to try a new place, but with a familiar favorite,” said Guidry…
