Heavy rains are expected across South Louisiana in the coming days, with forecasters expecting especially heavy rainfall southeast of Lafayette and down toward Morgan City and Pecan Island.
“It’s that area that could receive the most rainfall out of this,” Doug Cramer, warning coordination meteorologist with the National Weather Service Lake Charles, said in a Wednesday meeting.
