Lafayette secures convictions for two of four statewide cases of fentanyl murder

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — In Lafayette Parish, another conviction has been secured for a man accused in connection with a fentanyl-related death.

15th Judicial District Attorney Donald Landry informed said that this individual has been found guilty of the death of a seven-year-old child. Moreover, Lafayette Parish has now recorded two such convictions to date.

“That penny right there on the table. It only takes a few grains. What I normally would do is sprinkle a little bit of salt around this penny, and just a few grains of that fentanyl is enough to kill an individual,” Landry explained…
