This Lafayette seafood king will compete in the Great American Seafood Cook-Off

Chef Karlos Knott is known for great beer, exceptional pizzas and an up-beat, convivial atmosphere at his Bayou Teche Brewing operation in Arnaudville.

Now, he’s also known as the King of Louisiana Seafood. Knott won out over 11 other Louisiana chefs at the Louisiana Seafood Cook-Off last month, with a Roman-style pizza featuring butter-poached Louisiana shrimp.

His dish was called “All Roads Lead to Arnaudville.”

In a couple of weeks, he will represent his title at the Great American Seafood Cook-Off Aug. 2 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans…
