Lafayette firefighters tackled a fierce fire that destroyed a home and two vehicles under the carport and damaged a third vehicle. It happened on Bellridge Drive, which is off Bonaire Drive near Ambassador Caffery Parkway, on Friday, July 18, around 10 p.m. The fire was venting through the roof and back of the home when firefighters arrived.
