The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory for Lafayette on Tuesday with some areas expected to see it’s first triple digits of the year, forecasters say.
A heat advisory from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. has been issued for Lafayette on Tuesday with a 20% chance of temperatures reaching greater than 100 degrees. The heat index values are expected to reach up to 110, according to the advisory. Tuesday night’s forecast includes a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms.
