Local shelter seeks justice for burned stray dog

ABBEVILLE, La. (KLFY) — A stray dog was severely burned in Abbeville and has a local shelter seeking the person responsible.

Harley Gaspard, a resident in Abbeville who lives at Live Oak Manor Apartments, explained to that she was feeding Wylie, a stray.

“The first day I discovered the dog this was way before she got burned, like maybe four or five days before she got burned. It was my son that had originally found her. He had found her outside and where I live were not allowed to have animals, so I had let her come in. I fed her, because I do have a service dog. I’m allowed to have her obviously,” said Gaspard. “I took Wiley, and I fed her. I took some pictures of her to post on Facebook to see if she had a home and if not, I was going to try to find her home because she was a really sweet dog.”…
