LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — A mechanic suffered moderate injuries in an accidental fire in Lafayette.
Lafayette firefighters responded to a vehicle fire in the 100 block of Hummingbird Lane at 10:50 a.m. this morning. Multiple fire units were dispatched to the fire scene initially reported as an apartment and multiple vehicles burning.
Officials said when firefighters arrived on scene, two vehicles parked near the apartment building were on fire. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the vehicles. The exterior of the apartment building sustained minor heat damage…
