Lafayette drivers should prepare for increased traffic enforcement as students return to school. The Lafayette Police Department announced plans for added patrols in school zones and traffic control outside the new Lafayette High School. Sgt. Robin Green with the Lafayette Police Department stated that with the new school year starting, traffic officers will be reassigned to school zones to ensure student safety.
