It looks like we’re settling into that classic summer rhythm, but we’re keeping a close eye on some shifts on the horizon. Through the weekend, we’re expecting the typical summertime conditions. That means warm, humid air and a decent chance of picking up a stray shower or thunderstorm, especially along and south of I-10. Temperatures will be hovering near the 90-degree mark, feeling even warmer with the humidity. As we move through Saturday, we’ll continue to see these typical warm, muggy conditions.
However, as we head into Sunday and the early part of next week, we anticipate a notable change. A disturbance is expected to make its way across the northern Gulf Coast, and as it sets up shop overhead, we’re forecasting an increase in rain chances across the entire area. This pattern could bring more numerous thunderstorms, and we will be monitoring the potential for heavier rainfall, leading to localized pockets of flash flooding.
