Grand Coteau narcotics investigation leads to seizure of cache of drugs and guns

GRAND COTEAU, La. (NEWS 15) — Detectives with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office conducted a narcotics investigation in Grand Coteau that led to the seizure of cocaine and other drugs, as well as nearly a dozen guns.

Sheriff Bobby Guidroz said the investigation at a home on Key Street in Grand Coteau on Thursday, August 14, led to enough probable cause to secure a search warrant.

Narcotics detectives, assisted by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, executed the search warrant, uncovering a significant cache of drugs and firearms. Items found included nearly one kilogram of suspected cocaine with a street value of $95,400, 681, suspected Lortab pills, and 100 suspected Oxycodone pills…
