More heat and humidity with daily rain chances, Erin starts to turn North

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – Summer heat and humidity continue in the forecast as little change is expected through the next week. All rain ends overnight as temperatures settle in the 70s under mostly clear skies. Monday begins with high humidity and sunshine. Temperatures warm fast to near 90 by lunchtime. Feels-like temperatures will return to the 105 to 108 degree range during the afternoon hours, very close to Heat Advisory criteria. Highs will be in the mid 90s with a few storms developing in parts of the area to bring cooling relief to a select few.
