Lafayette firefighters responded to a fire at a house that neighbors said has been vacant for about a year. It happened on Eleventh Street at SW Evangeline Thruway on Saturday, August 16, around 7:30 p.m. Firefighters said the house was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived.
