UPDATE, 8/22/25, 10 p.m.: An arrest has been made following a shooting that occurred this afternoon in Lafayette, police said.
During the investigation, police identified the victim ,Phillip Francis Jr., 44, of Lafayette, was allegedly involved in an altercation with the suspect before the shooting.
As a result of the incident, police arrested Kyle Jagneaux,39, of Lafayette. Jagneaux was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on one count of manslaughter, police said…
