LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – A weak front has settled into the area bringing slightly drier conditions. Temperatures this evening will fall into the 70s and, overnight, will end up in the upper 60s and lower 70s. With a nice northerly breeze and drier air, it should feel pretty good Sunday morning. Temperatures Sunday will warm quickly and many areas reach the mid 90s for highs. While it will be hot, there won’t be as much humidity to make it feel worse. No rain is expected Sunday afternoon.
In the tropics, we now have Tropical Storm Fernand in the Atlantic. It will head into open waters and not affect any land areas, though it could sneak up to a weak hurricane as it passes east of Bermuda. We are also monitoring a tropical wave approaching the Lesser Antilles. While…..
