LAFAYETTE, LA. (KLFY) – A new art supply shop and creative studio recently opened in the Hubcity. Acadians have the opportunity to be able to explore new art skills and support local artisans.
Local artists Raeleigh Boyd and Preslie Such, founded Scrappie Art Shop and Community Studio after they noticed the community was in need of a creative space where people could have access to art supplies, workshops and a hub for local artists to sell their crafts.
“And so we really want to be a place where people can come in and work on homework or work on freelance work or work, you know with other people in the community.” Such said I think it’s important just to be able to build that community, to be able to have a space where people and come in and interact with one another.”…
