BUNKIE, La. (KALB) – A second suspect has been arrested in the Jo’Marrion Armstrong homicide investigation, according to the Bunkie Police Department.
Haston Malveaux, 18, of Lafayette, was arrested on August 26 by the Lafayette Police Department on a warrant issued by Bunkie PD.
At this time, Malveaux is being extradited to Avoyelles Parish, where he will be booked into the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office Detention Center 1 on the following charges:
- Second Degree Murder
- Attempted Second Degree Murder
- Criminal Conspiracy
- Aggravated Assault by Drive-By Shooting
- Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property
“I want the public to know that we are exhausting all efforts and resources to bring those responsible for heinous crimes in our city to justice,” said Assistant Chief of Police Brandon Horton. “Our community, our citizens, the victims and their families deserve justice. This investigation is not complete. There are additional individuals under investigation who played roles in this incident, and they too will be brought to justice. As a result, this investigation remains ongoing. I also want to thank the Lafayette Police Department for their assistance with this suspect.”
