The Opelousas Museum is conducting a project called Where We Live: Opelousas Neighborhoods. It is an invitation for Opelousas residents to document their neighborhoods in their own way.
One thing to remember is that the project is not seeking a particular point of view. The photo could be uplifting, or the subject matter may be disturbing. An image may evoke a range of emotions. Resident photographers should consider the concepts they want to communicate and how their images can illustrate a sentiment most effectively.
Images are powerful. The project seeks what’s real. That’s the point…
