This summer, Cowboys Nightclub in Scott announced that they would close after 45 years in business.
On July 26 the club held a “Last Ride” party, after announcing that the nightclub would close, while the attached western store and saloon would remain open. The music venue was known for country sounds and western nights, regularly featuring local country, Cajun and zydeco acts — along with a boots-and-buckles crowd of partiers on Saturday nights.
The club has since transitioned to new management, according to operator Chris Breaux. On Monday, Sept. 8, he posted a video to Facebook announcing that Cowboys will open again on Oct. 16 for a weekend of country music…
