‘No one can prepare for this’: Crowley mother shares daughter’s story for Suicide Prevention Month

As September marks Suicide Prevention Month, Kiana Arceneaux of Crowley is sharing her daughter’s story to remind others they are not alone and that hope is possible.

On August 27, Kyaria Arceneaux committed suicide two weeks after celebrating her 22nd birthday. Before taking her life, she left letters for her siblings and her mother, explaining her struggles, her love for them, and her wish for peace. One of her last posts on social media showed her sitting alone in her car on her birthday, singing happy birthday to herself.
