Haynes wanted in on Wildlife bribery scheme too, informant says

Dusty Guidry, a former consultant for the pretrial diversion program that serves Lafayette, testified Thursday morning that Assistant District Attorney Gary Haynes also wanted in on another bribery scheme at the Louisiana Department of Wildlife & Fisheries.

Guidry pleaded guilty to taking bribes to the tune of $800,000 and agreed to testify against Haynes, 67, who is on trial in federal court this week on charges of conspiracy, bribery, money laundering and obstruction of justice.
