SCOTT, La. (NEWS 15) — Firefighters responded to an apartment fire in Scott that started in the kitchen.
The Scott Fire Department reported it happened at the Ile des Cannes Apartment Complex on Windward Street around 8:30 a.m.
Officials said crews arrived at the scene to find heavy smoke coming from a lower unit of a four-plex building. They added firefighters found the fire in the kitchen and quickly got it under control…
