LAFAYETTE, La. (NEWS 15) — The Lafayette Parish School Board has approved plans to build a new school on the Northside, combining three existing schools into one new campus.
Superintendent Francis Touchet announced that J.W. Faulk Elementary School will be transformed into a brand-new facility to accommodate students from kindergarten through eighth grade. This move will merge J.W. Faulk Elementary and Baranco Elementary with Paul Breaux Middle.
“We need to improve facilities, no matter where it is, and whether it’s on the Northside or the Southside, this needs to be done,” Touchet said. “I’m excited. I’m excited that this is going to be the first of its kind that we will from the ground up build a new K-8 school here in Lafayette Parish.”…
