LAFAYETTE, LA (KLFY) – The Lafayette Animal Shelter & Care Center (LASCC) will join more than 300 shelters to host an Empty the Shelters event, running through Oct. 1-15 by helping pets find loving homes through reduced adoption fees of $70 or less, generously sponsored by BISSELL Pet Foundation.
Cathy Bissell, Founder of BISSELL Pet Foundation said since 2016, Empty the Shelters has helped more than 360,000 pets find loving homes. BISSELL Pet Foundation and LASCC shared how they aim to continue the mission by providing resources for shelters and finding homes for one pet at a time.
