New Iberia man convicted for 2021 shooting and gun case in Loreauville

NEW IBERIA, La. (KLFY) — A New Iberia man was was convicted of two counts of attempted firstdegree murder and one count of felon in possession of a firearm earlier today, officials said.

Anthony Mallery, 40, of New Iberia, received convictions stemming from an incident in Loreauville in November of 2021.

One of the victims, Mallery’s half-brother, was on his way to pick up an employee and hadoffered Mallery a ride.
