A major change is coming to sports events and extracurricular activities in the Iberia Parish School District after the school board approved a new rule for attending large events.
The board adopted a clear bag policy at Wednesday’s meeting, which Superintendent of Schools Heath Hulin said was in line with surrounding school districts like Lafayette, Vermilion, St. Martin and St. Mary parishes.
The policy changes the rules for large gatherings like sports events, requiring that event-goers are only allowed a certain type of see-through bag instead of backpacks, duffel bags, camera bags and other types of bags…
