LOUISIANA — Two men, including a wanted fugitive from Abbeville, were arrested following a months-long investigation into felony narcotics violations in Vermilion Parish.
Authorities said 21-year-old Kabien Wright was taken into custody at a residence on West Valcourt Street in Abbeville and booked into the Vermilion Parish Jail.
Wright faces multiple charges, including possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of Alprazolam and crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, presence of a controlled dangerous substance in a school zone, transactions involving drug proceeds, resisting arrest, and second or subsequent offenses.
