VERMILION PARISH, La. (KLFY) — Two men, one being a wanted fugitive from Abbeville, were apprehended following a months-long investigation into felony narcotics violations.
Kabien Wright, 21, was arrested and booked into a Vermilion Parish jail. He faces multiple charges, including possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of Alprazolam and crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, presence of a controlled dangerous substance in a school zone, transactions involving drug proceeds, resisting arrest and second or subsequent offenses. He is currently being held on a probation bond.

Cade Duhon, 19, was arrested and booked into a Vermilion Parish jail on the charges of conspiracy to possession with intent to distribute marijuana and accessory after the fact to possession with intent to distribute marijuana. He was later released on a $12,500 bond.
According to authorities, the Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office received information that Wright, who is wanted fugitive, was possibly inside a residence on West Valcourt Street in Abbeville. When officials arrived, they observed Duhon leaving the residence and he was detained after officers allegedly smelled an odor of marijuana emitting from the home.
