The number of foreclosures filed in the Lafayette metro slid upward in the third quarter as the statewide and U.S. totals increased as well.
There were 144 foreclosure fillings — which includes default notices, scheduled auctions or bank repossessions — in the area, rising from 108 in the second quarter and 92 in the third quarter of 2024, according to data released by real estate research firm ATTOM Data Solutions in its Foreclosure Market Report.
