Opelousas woman suspected of murdering girlfriend turns self in; GoFundMe set up for victim

A woman wanted for murder in the shooting death of her girlfriend has turned herself in, according to the Opelousas Police Department. Investigators said Kera Vitatoe, 21, surrendered to authorities in Lake Charles and is awaiting extradition back to Opelousas to face charges. They added she is facing charges of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder after Mareya Henry was shot to death over the weekend.
