The City of Opelousas has announced the return of the Opelousas Children’s Christmas Parade. The event is scheduled for Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. The parade has been a local tradition for over fifty years.
The parade will begin at Landry and Academy Streets near Le Vieux Village. It will travel west through downtown and end at Landry and Bullard Streets. The event will include illuminated floats, marching bands, local organizations, dance groups, and an appearance by Santa Claus.
