Carencro man sentenced to life in prison over 7-year-old stepdaughter’s fentanyl death

A Carencro man was sentenced to life in prison Friday in the death of his 7-year-old stepdaughter by fentanyl overdose.

Daniel Boudreaux, 52, was found guilty July 14 by a Lafayette Parish jury on three charges: second-degree murder, second-degree cruelty to a juvenile and possession with intent to distribute fentanyl.
