Carencro man receives life sentence after murder conviction for 7-year-old’s death from fentanyl

LAFAYETTE, La. (NEWS 15) — A Carencro man will spend the rest of his life in prison after being found guilty of murder for the death of his 7-year-old stepdaughter from fentanyl, according to court records.

District Judge Valerie Gotch-Garrett handed down the life sentence to Daniel Boudreaux Jr., 52, of Carencro, on Friday, November 7.
