Lafayette Parish public schools loosen dress code Monday due to cold weather

The Lafayette Parish School System is loosening its dress code for students on Monday as a cold front pushes into the area.

Already allowed to wear jeans under the current LPSS policy, Superintendent Francis Touchet Jr. said students also are allowed to wear sweatpants on Monday, according to a news release.

LPSS also reminds parents that students in kindergarten through fifth grades may wear jackets or coats with hoods…
