OPELOUSAS, La. (NEWS 15) — Two St. Landry Parish Jail correctional officers have been arrested for allegedly beating an elderly inmate, according to the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office.
John Smith, 30, of Port Barre, is charged with cruelty to person with infirmities, failure to seek assistance, and malfeasance in office.
