OPELOUSAS, La. (KLFY) — An Opelousas couple have been arrested after allegedly shooting at a garbage truck they thought was trespassing, authorities said.
Kevin Bergeron, 49, of Opelousas, is charged with illegal use of weapons and Lori Gautreaux, 40, of Opelousas, is charged with principal to illegal use of weapons.
The St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of trespassing in the 7800 block of North I-49 Service Road at about 4:30 a.m. today.
