LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — A Lafayette couple is sharing their story after a motorcycle accident left them facing months of uncertainty, extensive medical procedures and now the possibility of a life-changing amputation.
Braighton and Chanel Knotts say their lives were turned upside down on Aug. 16, when what began as a relaxing Saturday evening ride turned into a traumatic crash.
“About 20 minutes into our ride somebody pulled out in front of us and hit us,” Braighton said. “I suffered a broken leg, destroyed knee. My wife had a broken spine, hip and pelvis. She has recently started being able to walk again.”…
