LAFAYETTE, LA. (KLFY) — St. Joseph Diner in Lafayette, operated by Catholic Charities of Acadiana, is serving hundreds of meals to neighbors who might otherwise spend Thanksgiving alone.
Ben Broussard, Chief of External Affairs for Catholic Charities, emphasized the significance of Thanksgiving at the diner, saying it offers a sense of community.
“Thanksgiving Day is a day where we’re often with families. But for those who lack those connections or family who find themselves in a place of isolation and loneliness, the diner is a place of community and belonging.” Broussard said…
