Lafayette artist gains national attention for viral TikTok performance

LAFAYETTE, LA. (KLFY) — A local woman’s balloon release performance of the song ‘I Wish Heaven Had a Phone’ has gone viral on TikTok, sparking conversations about grief and healing.

Neace Robinson, the artist behind the song, first released it in 2018 after experiencing personal loss, but it gained new attention after she performed it at a balloon release in Jeanerette in November.
