Lafayette Parish Schools will delay start times due to heavy rain, flash flooding threat

Lafayette Parish Schools will delay start times by 90 minutes Thursday morning as flash flooding remains a possibility in the area.

No major flooding issues have been reported as of 7:30 a.m., LPSS said in a post on Facebook, and rain chances are expected to decrease significantly by 9 a.m.
