St. Landry school dress code for cold weather

ST. LANDRY PARISH, La. (KLFY) — St. Landry Parish School Board is making dress code adjustments for the upcoming cold weather.

On Dec. 15-16 there will be extremely cold weather. Here are the following adjustments to the dress code:

  • Outerwear: As per current policy, students should wear school-appropriate jackets or sweatshirts, as long as they are hoodless. Hoodies are permitted for students in grades pre-k through 4 only.
  • Bottoms: School-appropriate jeans, joggers, or sweatpants are allowed. *No pajamas
  • Headwear: Knit caps, earmuffs, and beanies are encouraged for warmth. However, these must be removed once inside the school building.
