Acadiana can expect to see an unusually warm Christmas this year, marking the first time in several years according to forecasters at the National Weather Service.
National Weather Service meteorologist Jonathan Brazzell said highs on Christmas Day in the Lafayette area are expected to reach around 75 degrees, with calm winds becoming near 5 mph in the afternoon. Overnight lows Thursday night are expected to dip to around 62 degrees.
“It’s going to be warm,” said Brazzell, “We’re forecasting fog in the morning and a high of about 75 on Christmas Day.”…
