A Popeyes location in Lafayette will be closed until further notice after a fire on New Year’s Eve damaged the restaurant, according to firefighters. The Lafayette Fire Department reported a grease fire damaged the Popeyes on West Pinhook Road on Wednesday, December 31, around 5:30 p.m. Authorities said firefighters arrived promptly after receiving the call from workers and found heavy smoke billowing from the restaurant.
