LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – After a cold start to the new year with patchy fog in parts of Acadiana, sunshine will fill the sky and help to warm temperatures later today. We will rise fast through the 40s this morning and reach near 70 during the afternoon hours. A few clouds will sneak into the picture later in the afternoon hours. Tonight, skies will cloud over as damp air settles across the area. Temperatures will hold in the 60s throughout the night.
